About The Position
ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Manager of Nursing – Virtual Acute Care to lead our innovative virtual care delivery model. This role assumes 24-hour accountability for clinical and operational excellence in virtual acute care nursing, including oversight of the Virtual Safety Sitter Telemonitoring Program. You will play a key role in shaping patient care through telehealth platforms while fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development, and patient safety.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- BSN and Master’s degree (or BS + MSN).
- Professional certification in a nursing specialty required; Nurse Executive certification preferred.
- Current RN license in Delaware or compact state.
- BLS or ACLS certification required.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical and leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of ANA Code of Ethics, ANCC Magnet® Model, and Relationship-Based Care.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Professional certification in a nursing specialty required; Nurse Executive certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for virtual acute care nursing teams.
- Conduct routine leader rounds to ensure visibility, teamwork, and quality care.
- Drive change management initiatives and optimize patient flow in a virtual environment.
- Mentor and develop nursing staff, promoting autonomy and relationship-based care.
- Oversee hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Lead daily huddles and monthly staff meetings to communicate priorities and recognize achievements.
- Develop and monitor performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance program development and clinical excellence.
- Participate in budgeting, staffing decisions, and succession planning.
