About The Position

A specialty surgical hospital in the Dallas area is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of Surgical Services to lead perioperative operations across cardiovascular, spine, and hybrid OR environments. This hospital features advanced surgical technology, minimally invasive platforms, and a comprehensive program supporting high-volume spine procedures and complex cardiovascular cases. The Nurse Manager oversees operating suites, sterile processing, anesthesia support, and perioperative nursing teams—driving performance through strong leadership, clinical excellence, and a focus on safe, efficient surgical care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of Surgical Services leadership experience, including ability to scrub or circulate.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Current RN license (Texas or Compact).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong understanding of operational, financial, and staffing needs in perioperative services.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
  • CNOR certification (required within one year if not currently held).
  • Experience supporting cardiovascular, spine, and hybrid OR environments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational, clinical, and administrative leadership across Surgical Services, including CVOR, spine ORs, hybrid suites, anesthesia techs, and sterile processing.
  • Collaborate with perioperative leadership and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality care.
  • Maintain accountability for staff performance, workflow management, resource utilization, and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate and improve quality metrics in alignment with perioperative standards and industry guidelines.
  • Support supervisors and OR staff in daily operations, ensuring timely case flow and excellent patient experience.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement.
  • Oversee approximately 60 FTEs while supporting weekly surgical volumes of 30–40 spine cases and 25 cardiovascular cases
