This leader will oversee the daily operations of the department, manage staff performance and education, and collaborate with executive and clinical leadership to achieve departmental goals. Youll serve as a liaison between OR staff, administration, and medical teams fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of staff-level RN experience in the Operating Room.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in acute care surgical services required.
  • Strong clinical expertise in perioperative and surgical nursing .
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current Texas RN license or Multistate Compact license required.
  • Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of perioperative nursing care for surgical patients.
  • Partner with the OR Educator to design and implement ongoing staff training and development.
  • Develop department goals, objectives, and performance metrics , ensuring alignment with hospital priorities.
  • Maintain and interpret departmental policies, procedures, and fiscal accountability .
  • Collaborate with administration, medical staff, and other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the budgeting process , including operating and capital budgets.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and support leadership growth within the surgical team.

  • Salary Range: $84,843 - $127,275 (based on experience)
  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
