About The Position

The Womans Hospital of Texas is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Neonatal ICU (NICU) to ensure high quality, efficient care for patients. This role involves assisting the Director with department activities, coordinating participation in Performance Improvement activities, and providing clinical support to nursing staff. The position requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The Nurse Manager will work night shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM.

Requirements

• 2 plus years of experience in NICU required.
• 2 plus years of management or Charge Nurse experience required.
• BSN required.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with all department activities to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities.
• Coordinate the department's participation in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.
• Ensure that nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluate its effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
• Provide clinical support to the nursing staff.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients in the Women's Services Units.
