This Nurse Manager is a key member of the Surgical Services team and manages the PACU, Surgical Day and Endo areas. Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse license in state of MA required.
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership experience required with a minimum of 3-5 years of Management experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree strongly preferred.
  • CNOR strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal efficiency in daily flow throughout surgical services
  • Evaluate and assess the daily schedule and staffing plan and to make adjustments to clinical assignments if necessary to enhance the overall performance of the department and functioning of the unit.
  • Evaluate and respond to changes in the daily schedule in real-time including add-on cases, late running cases, resource allocation, and other situations as they present.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (anesthesia, surgeons, department chiefs) to balance daily changes while maintaining departmental efficiency, ensuring safe patient care and striving for optimal clinical performance and outcomes.
