About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team as the leader of the Surgery Center/Pre-Admission Testing Clinic. As the Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department. This is a working manager role, where you will actively participate in unit activities/operations while overseeing the staffing assignments to ensure effective coverage. You will also be involved in personnel performance appraisals, process improvement activities, budget and inventory control, and staff and self-development.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Two years of experience in the operating room (OR).
- One year of experience in a charge nurse position in the OR.
- Five to six years of overall experience with previous management experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and control staffing assignments in accordance with objectives and policies to ensure effective coverage of the department.
- Oversee and perform personnel performance appraisals, including goal establishment for each employee.
- Participate in unit activities/operations.
- Observe the condition of facilities and take corrective action to solve existing or potential problems.
- Participate in process improvement activities.
- Act as a change agent through role modeling.
- Participate in budget and inventory control.
- Participate in staff and self-development.
