About The Position

Medical City Denton is looking for a Nurse Manager of Emergency Services to join our team of daring managers who care without reservations or limits. This position involves the supervision, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care provided in the Emergency Department. The Manager will also coordinate and supervise unit activities to ensure safe and efficient care delivery, assist in implementing Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies, and financial management of the unit. The role requires a commitment to research and clinical protocols to impact standards of care and save lives across the country.

Requirements

  • Texas State RN license or compact license required.
  • BSN required.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required by AHA or ARC.
  • PALS or ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • TNCC certification required within 18 months of hire.
  • Advanced specialty certification (i.e. CEN) encouraged.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Emergency Services required.
  • 2 years management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care in the Emergency Department.
  • Coordinate and supervise unit activities to support safe and efficient care delivery.
  • Assist the Admin Department Director in implementing Performance Improvement activities.
  • Support hospital policies and procedures.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the unit.
