About The Position

The Nurse Manager (NM) for the Cardiothoracic ICU is responsible for overseeing the clinical, operational, and fiscal aspects of the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and a supportive work environment. This role involves leading a team of healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of engagement and collaboration, and implementing best practices to enhance patient outcomes. The Nurse Manager also plays a key role in communication, relationship management, and professional development within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (Master's preferred).
• Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• At least 5 years of nursing experience with evidence of leadership mastery at the Assistant Manager level or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of recent ICU RN experience, preferred.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge about population health and healthcare legislation.
• Manage the unit's salary and expenses within the predetermined budget.
• Mentor and educate the care team on budget, service excellence, and risk management.
