About The Position

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license
  • 4+ years NICU staff-level experience
  • 2+ years acute care NICU leadership experience (within the last year)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire
  • Nursing diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily NICU operations, ensuring quality, patient-centered care
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient care needs
  • Monitor and evaluate nursing practices, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary care and optimize admissions, discharges, and patient throughput
  • Drive initiatives to improve patient safety, quality outcomes, and satisfaction
  • Mentor, coach, and develop NICU nursing staff for professional growth
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and operational compliance
  • Administer operating expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage supply usage
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence in patient experience
  • Implement strategies to improve patient and family satisfaction
