About The Position
The Manager has 24-hour accountability, authority and responsibility for quality of services, operational management and human resource management for an assigned environment(s). The Manager fosters the integration of the organization's vision and values, and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan through an accountable work team. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Manager collaborates with patients/customers, families, physicians, administration and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient focused and healing environment. The Manager demonstrates leadership skills in assuring that appropriate care is carried out for specific patient population(s). The Manager is responsible for promoting team work with physicians and all members of the health care team. The Manager is responsible for establishing the tone of the work environment and ensuring that all personnel are competent, adhere to all policies of the department and organization and adhere to all behavior standards of Shawnee Mission Health.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Kansas Registered Nurse License
- BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership direction to staff, patients and all members of the healthcare team.
- Uphold a high level of performance standards for self and associates led and influenced through actions.
- Demonstrate responsibility for planning, implementing and evaluating decisions that impact my scope of responsibility.
- Communicate effectively and provide ongoing feedback to my staff, patients and the leadership team.
