About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced nursing professional to lead our Medication Administration Program training and oversee safe, compliant medication practices across our services. In this role, you will support staff competency, uphold regulatory standards, and promote consistent, person-centered care. Travel required to our residential programs (group homes) within the Merrimack Valley. Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. This position is benefit eligible as of the date of hire. Compensation range: This is a 40-hour, non-exempt full-time position. The hourly rate is $40.75.

Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and clinical judgment skills.
  • Certification as a Massachusetts DPH MAP Trainer or ability to obtain MAP Trainer certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in human services, developmental disabilities, or ABI settings.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to accurately follow care plans, document services provided, and communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills, computer literacy, and ability to document electronically.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing with a minimum of one year of driving experience
  • Ability to travel within the service area to residential programs and medical appointments.

Nice To Haves

  • One year prior Nurse Manager or supervisory experience.
  • Two years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury.
  • Familiarity with DDS regulations and community-based residential programs.
  • Experience with quality improvement and regulatory compliance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the agency’s designated MAP Trainer in accordance with Massachusetts DPH regulations.
  • Conduct MAP certification and recertification training for unlicensed direct care staff.
  • Monitor MAP compliance across residential, day, and administrative programs
  • Investigate, document, and trend medication errors; implement corrective actions and staff retraining as needed.
  • Maintain MAP training records to ensure timely renewals.
  • Deliver skilled nursing care, including clinical assessments, treatments, and medication administration as needed.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with individuals served, families, guardians, case managers, and program staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in admissions, transitions, and discharge planning.
  • Provide on-call clinical consultation as assigned.
