About The Position

Seeking Nurse Manager! Baptist Health Floyd, Intensive Care Unit and 2F Progressive Care Unit Full-time (40 Hours Weekly), Days Benefit Eligible Job Duties: The Nurse Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising the staff in their department, programs, budgets, schedules, payroll and equipment. They are to provide leadership through communication and relationship-building, a strong knowledge of the health care environment and business skills. The Nurse Manager functions as an extension of the Director of their department by implementing policies, procedures, and standards of the hospital within the unit managed. About the Unit: The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU providing specialized care for a variety of critically ill patients, including those with: stroke; sepsis; shock states with or without multi-organ failure; and respiratory failure. New graduate RNs are welcome. The 2F Progressive Care Unit, also known as 2F PCU, is a 16-bed intermediate level of care unit between the Inpatient Units and the Critical Care units. While the unit specializes in cardiovascular care nurses will encounter a variety of diagnoses, such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, sepsis, etc. While working closely with an interdisciplinary team, nurses provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. 2F PCU is a great place for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing several drips and other specialized procedures. New Graduate RNs are welcome. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited BSN or MSN program. Master's degree preferred; If no current Master's degree and not pursuing, must obtain national certification in leadership within 2 years. Three (3) years nursing experience required. One (1) year charge nurse or supervisory experience required. BLS for Healthcare Provider required. National specialty certification and/or National certification in Nursing Leadership preferred. Requirements
