About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Inpatient Rehab Services to lead and oversee nursing operations within a rehabilitation unit. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, staff development, and compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( BSN ) or related field (required)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of leadership or management experience (or demonstrated leadership ability)
  • Active Texas RN License or Compact RN License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
  • CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) preferred (required within 3 years of hire)
  • FIM Certification (UDSMR) required within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise daily unit operations, staffing, and workflow coordination.
  • Recruit, hire, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff.
  • Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and leader for nursing teams.
  • Promote collaboration across interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Manage physician relationships and ensure effective communication.
  • Lead and participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Support budgeting, financial planning, and cost management.
  • Coordinate staff education, training, and professional development programs.
  • Maintain 24-hour accountability for unit operations and patient care.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
