About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Inpatient Rehab Services to lead and oversee nursing operations within a rehabilitation unit. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, staff development, and compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (required)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( BSN ) or related field (required)
Minimum 3–5 years of inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience
Minimum 3–5 years of leadership or management experience (or demonstrated leadership ability)
Active Texas RN License or Compact RN License
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) preferred (required within 3 years of hire)
FIM Certification (UDSMR) required within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

Oversee and ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
Supervise daily unit operations, staffing, and workflow coordination.
Recruit, hire, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff.
Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and leader for nursing teams.
Promote collaboration across interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Manage physician relationships and ensure effective communication.
Lead and participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Support budgeting, financial planning, and cost management.
Coordinate staff education, training, and professional development programs.
Maintain 24-hour accountability for unit operations and patient care.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
