This team is equipped to treat children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BSN)
Active RN license in state of practice
5 years' experience as a clinical nurse
5 years' experience charge nurse / team lead
Critical care experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

1 year of pediatric and/or orthopedic experience
1 year experience in clinical research
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager provides leadership in working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
The Nurse Manager maintains clinical skills and acts as both a clinical leader and resource nurse, as well as, administrative leader, assuming 24-hour responsibility for the unit.
Responsibilities include assessment, direction, planning, evaluating, and development of the In-patient Nursing and PACU divisions in coordination with the identified needs of patients and families.
This position will be responsible for overseeing daily nursing practice in an assigned department to ensure that safe and appropriate care is provided.
The Nurse Manager will collaborate actively with medical, administrative, and interdisciplinary leadership to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
