About The Position
The Nurse Manager is an operational manager designated as the leader for a specified nursing area or areas, its patient population and assigned staff, who has 24 hour responsibility and accountability for all patient care activities, unit operations, and staff competency. In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned other duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduate from a school of nursing with a current California RN license.
- BSN Required.
- Current California RN license.
- BLS required.
- Membership in appropriate professional organization required.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical nursing practice with a minimum of two years experience required.
- Demonstrated expertise in management as either first line or shift manager with minimum one year experience.
- Ability to work productively in a busy and complex environment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
Nice To Haves
- MSN Preferred.
- Certification within area and/or administrative certification preferred.
