About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – ICU Trauma Neuro to lead a high-acuity critical care service line within a tertiary acute care setting. This role provides operational, clinical, and people leadership across a Neuro Trauma ICU and a Central Telemetry unit, supporting a multidisciplinary team focused on quality outcomes, patient safety, and exceptional patient experience. Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing leadership experience (ICU, MICU, SICU, CVICU)
  • Strong critical care clinical background
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-acuity units and multidisciplinary teams
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months
  • RN Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and clinical leadership for ICU Trauma Neuro and Central Telemetry units
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care aligned with evidence-based practice
  • Oversee daily unit operations including staffing, throughput, admissions, and discharges
  • Monitor quality metrics, clinical outcomes, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous performance improvement
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective care coordination
  • Manage staff scheduling, productivity, and appropriate skill mix based on patient acuity
  • Lead employee engagement, coaching, performance management, and professional development
  • Support recruitment, retention, and succession planning for nursing staff
  • Manage operating expenses and identify opportunities for cost efficiency
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient experience and service recovery when needed
