About The Position

Take the lead in a fast-paced Emergency Department as a Nurse Manager, overseeing a team of skilled RNs dedicated to high-quality, patient-centered care. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Florida license or compact license (FL RN license required within 90 days if holding out-of-state compact license)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution
  • Enrollment in a BSN program required
  • 35 years of acute care ED leadership experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner license acceptable
  • Experience managing high-volume EDs with 50+ FTEs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring quality care and efficient workflow
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and FTE assignments to meet patient volume and acuity needs
  • Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and coaching to ED staff
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding and integration into the team
  • Conduct performance evaluations, support conflict resolution, and implement disciplinary actions as needed
  • Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
  • Implement quality checks and performance improvement initiatives for patient safety and operational efficiency
  • Assist with clinical procedures and case management as required
  • Monitor and report on department data for decision-making and continuous improvement
