About The Position

Nurse Manager opportunity with Trinity Health Oakland Seeking a Registered Nurse to step into the role of Emergency Department Manager, guiding a high-volume Level II Trauma and Certified Stroke Center through continued growth and excellence. Trinity Health Oakland, located in Pontiac, Michigan, is a leading community hospital recognized for advanced emergency care and specialty services. Our Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center, serving more than 60,000 patients annually and currently undergoing a major renovation and expansion to enhance patient experience and care delivery.

Requirements

  • State of Michigan Registered Nursing license required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree required.
  • Minimum of three years’ leadership experience in a related health care setting

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in nursing, Business or Health Administration preferred.
  • five [years of leadership experience] preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe.
  • Coordination and evaluation of care
  • Teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.
  • Serves as a member of the organization’s nursing leadership team.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations, scheduling, staffing and providing 24/7 accountability for patient care delivery, planning, and evaluation of services of one or more clinical areas.
  • Participates in and supports strategic development and outcomes management of nursing clinical areas.
  • Responsible for review and evaluation of operations and services in accordance with business requirements, marketplace trends and technological needs.
  • Provides clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, superior and preeminent quality patient care to ensure the advancement of clinical practice and patient care for a nursing unit that is consistent with the ANA Scope of Practice, American Organization of Nurse Leaders (AONL) Nurse Leader/Manager competencies, and American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Standards.
  • Collaborate with and support director and key leaders, groups and stakeholder audiences in the development and implementation of operational plans, goals and objectives.
