Nurse Manager – Emergency Department - NMED Fulltime
About The Position
A hospital in the Kansas City metro area is seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager – Emergency Department to lead a high-volume, high-acuity ED. Under the direction of the ED Director and Chief Nursing Officer, the Manager provides nursing leadership and oversees the daily operations, staffing, quality outcomes, and patient experience within the Emergency Department. This leader will manage a fast-paced department serving approximately 100 patients per day and overseeing a team of 90 FTEs . This regional medical center is recognized for advanced emergency and specialty services, including Level II Trauma designation, accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Centers, Pediatric Emergency Services, Women’s & Children’s programs, and multiple freestanding emergency locations. The hospital is part of a nationally recognized healthcare system serving the Kansas City region.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of recent (within the last year) acute care leadership experience in the Emergency Department .
- Charge Nurse experience in a high-acuity ED will be considered.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure in state of practice (or active compact license).
- Required within 90 days of hire: ACLS TNCC NIH Stroke Scale Certification ENPC or PALS
Nice To Haves
- Manager-level experience strongly preferred.
- BSN preferred or actively pursuing with completion within 2 years of hire.
