About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Nurse Manager of Critical Care to oversee both the ICU and PCU, covering 31 total beds with approximately 48 FTEs . This is a high-impact leadership role where you will guide clinical operations, mentor staff, and drive quality improvement. Schedule: Full-Time, Days (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM) with 24/7 leadership accountability as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent (within the last year) ICU leadership experience in an acute care setting.
• Active RN license in Florida or Compact state.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree required
• Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale – within 30 days of hire.
• BLS – within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS – within 6 months of hire.
• PALS or ENPC – within 6 months of hire.

• BSN strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 leadership and accountability for ICU and PCU operations.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure continuity of patient care and discharge planning.
• Promote a culture of patient safety, service excellence, and evidence-based care.
• Mentor, coach, and develop staff while fostering engagement and retention.
• Manage departmental budgets, equipment, supplies, and staffing resources.
• Actively participate in hospital-wide initiatives for quality, safety, and patient experience.
