About The Position

The Manager of Med/Surg - Telemetry is a Registered Nurse who assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for the management of all nursing service functions within the Med/Surg - Telemetry departments. This role involves supervising, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of patient care. The manager is responsible for developing and implementing departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and ensuring compliance with current regulations. Additionally, the manager supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit, effectively utilizes nursing personnel, and is directly accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing (CNO/DON). Effective communication with staff, physicians, and administration is essential, both in written and verbal forms.

Requirements

• Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of two years supervisory/management experience.
• Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
• ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
