About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead an inpatient psychiatric unit in a hospital setting. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting staff development.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• BSN required
• 5+ years RN experience
• 5+ years psychiatric nursing experience
• 2+ years hospital leadership experience
• Experience managing an inpatient psych unit
• Knowledge of regulatory standards
• BLS required

Nice To Haves

• ACLS preferred
• Crisis management certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of the Behavioral Health unit
• Manage daily clinical and administrative operations
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Oversee admissions, discharges, and care coordination
• Lead quality improvement initiatives (CQI, Root Cause Analysis)
• Monitor staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and resources
• Supervise and mentor nursing and interdisciplinary staff
• Maintain survey readiness and regulatory compliance
• Support patient satisfaction and performance improvement efforts
• Ensure proper EMR documentation and workflow
