Pyramid Healthcare of Asheville is seeking a Full Time LPN to join their Methadone Clinic team! Schedule: 5am - 1pm Monday - Friday and Every other Saturday The primary function of this position involves providing direct nursing services to clients undergoing treatment for adult substance use disorders and/or mental health issues.

Requirements

  • Current unencumbered LPN license in the state of practice is required.
  • Current CPR/BLS, AED, and First Aid certifications are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound judgment accompanied by exceptional nursing skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve through gathering and analyzing information.
  • Capacity to handle crises and potential risk situations, responding appropriately.
  • A working knowledge of federal and state standards, as well as compliance standards set by regulating bodies.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in a behavioral health treatment setting is preferred.
  • A background in Substance Use Treatment and Co-occurring Disorders is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial Nursing Assessments for new admissions, as applicable.
  • Administer medications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and implementation of detox protocols.
  • Complete COWS and CIWA scales with appropriate clients in accordance with established protocols.
  • Provide medication education to clients.
  • Coordinate and support medical providers during assessments and medication management appointments.
  • Ensure medical equipment is maintained in proper working order while upholding confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
