About The Position

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a healthcare professional responsible for providing basic nursing care under the direction of Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, or other medical professionals. LPNs work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and private homes. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

Current and valid LPN license in the state of employment.
CPR/BLS certification.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to different healthcare settings and varying patient needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring comfort and safety.
Administer prescribed medications and injections as per the physician's orders.
Assist with wound care and dressing changes, as well as other necessary treatments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charting vital signs, patient assessments, and care delivered.
Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
Assist with patient education and health promotion activities.
Respond to patient concerns, providing timely and appropriate care.
Observe and report any changes in patients' condition to the supervising RN or physician.
Ensure adherence to all healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
