About The Position

As a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board supporting Crisis Services, you will be assisting the staff psychiatrist with the prescription, administration, and monitoring of medications, conducting client assessments, delivering medical-based treatment services, and providing crisis intervention and supportive counseling. Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Virginia State Board of Nursing
• One (1) year of experience in the administration of medication or in a substance abuse treatment, psychiatric setting, or long-term care facility, including the dispensing of narcotic medication.
• experience in substance abuse treatment, psychiatric care, or long-term care settings, particularly involving the dispensing of narcotic medications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Your ability to use relevant software and tools
