About The Position

A graduate who has completed an accredited school of nursing program and has been accepted into the three-month Registered Nurse internship program. The Nurse Intern provides safe, efficient and therapeutically effective patient care.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate from an accredited, state approved school of nursing program.
• Licensure: Must obtain MS license as a registered nurse before entering the internship program.
• Experience: N/A
• Skills, Knowledge, Abilities : Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques in administering and providing patient care services.
• Knowledge of supplies used in patient care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Understanding of asepsis and sterile techniques to avoid infection of patients and self or contamination of equipment and supplies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills while understanding the needs for a positive patient experience.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and manage time efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care services.
• Communicates patient / family health care needs to the appropriate health care provider.
• Maintains supplies and equipment of the assigned area.
• Participates as a member of the team to achieve business goals, quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
• Practices within legal, ethical and professional boundaries.
