OACAC Head Start is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team. The Nurse Health Specialist plays a key role in promoting the health and well-being of children ages birth–5 by coordinating comprehensive health services, partnering with families, and ensuring compliance with all Head Start Performance Standards . Position Overview The Nurse Health Specialist: Oversees health requirements, screenings, and follow-up for enrolled children. Supports families in accessing timely medical, dental, nutrition, and mental health services. Trains and collaborates with teaching staff, family advocates, and program leadership. Builds relationships with community health providers to ensure coordinated care. Ensures health practices meet federal, state, and Head Start regulations.
