About The Position

The Emergency Department Float Pool Registered Nurse provides care to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department and Psych Hold areas. Essential components of nursing practice include medical/clinical knowledge, technical and clinical skills, clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and communication as indicated in the current Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals. This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

• Two (2) years’ experience as an RN in the Emergency Department
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• RN = Registered Nurse license from the State of NV Nursing Board
• CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support – AHA
• CT CPRACLS - Advanced Life Support – AHA
• CT CPRPALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support CPR (Required within 6 months of hire)
• TNCC = Trauma Nurse Core Course (Required within 6 months of hire)
• NIHSS = NIH Stroke-AM Stroke ASC-Nat'l-Training upon hire/transfer
• Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire (through internal facility resources)

Nice To Haves
