NURSE EXTERN-Emergency Department All Campuses (TUH MAIN, Episcopal, Jeanes, CHH)
About The Position
Assists the Registered Nurse by performing patient care activities delegated to the unlicensed nursing support professional as well as additional specific functions for which he/she has been prepared. Observes and reports the functioning of equipment, the results of treatments, condition of dressings and any change in patient condition. Incorporates the concepts of the Hospital's Guest Relations Program into all aspects of patient care activities (i.e. confidentiality, responsiveness, caring). Accountable to the Nurse Manager or designee for all activities. Adheres to policies and procedures of the department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Must be currently enrolled and attending classes in a National League of Nursing accredited professional nursing school preparing students to be Registered Professional Nurses Required
- Basic Life Support Required
Nice To Haves
- Must have successfully completed the first semester of junior year in a BSN program, with a medical surgical clinical rotation Preferred
