Responsibilities: Under the direction and supervision of a professional registered nurse preceptor, performs and assists with various tasks including basic patient care, direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This position requires providing service to the following age population(s), infant to geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Must be registered in an accredited school of nursing and matriculated in a BSN program, with having successfully completed 1 medical-surgical clinical nursing course.
- Students must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.2.
- Skill Requirements include vital signs; bed making; moving, lifting, and turning patients; and feeding patients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer proficiency with data entry.
- BLS Certification required.
