Nurse Extern - Trauma ICU
About The Position
The purpose of this role is to give current nursing students (traditionally between junior and senior semesters) the opportunity for real world acute care hospital experience focusing on patient care, service and excellence and assisting the Registered Nurse with high quality outcomes. Administers Nursing care under the direction of the Professional Registered Nurse Acclimates to the Acute Care Nursing setting Participates in nursing activities previously learned/demonstrated as part of the nursing school curriculum Learn the role of professional nursing and the collaboration and integration of technology and the interprofessional team
Requirements
- Undergraduate Students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (must be entering their Senior year) and completed one full clinical rotation in acute care setting
- Minimum cumulative GPA 3.3
- American Heart Association BLS
- Two Letters of Recommendation (Faculty or Professional) required
- Ability to work 36 hours per week with no planned time-off
Responsibilities
