About The Position

The Marquardt, an Illuminus Community, is hiring a Nurse Extern to join our team in a full-time or part-time capacity. We are set on a 52-acre campus with rolling green lawns, gorgeous trees and flowers and paved walkways. The Marquardt offers assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care as well as independent living options for older adults in Garden Homes and apartments. Established in 1969, The Marquardt has continued to transform expectations of senior living with ever-evolving and expansive options in Watertown, Wisconsin, conveniently located halfway between Madison and Milwaukee. In this role, the Nurse Extern will carry out tasks commensurate with your nursing educational passed classes thus far, and for which you have demonstrated competence and delegation aptitude to the nursing supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be a nursing student currently enrolled in a nursing program leading to registered nurse designation.
• Successfully completed pharmacology (must provide clinical skills check off from school).
• Completed at least one clinical rotation that included passing medications.
• Demonstration of competency in the required skills for the position.
• Certified Nurse Aide registry certification in good standing.
• Commitment to quality outcomes and services for all individuals.

Responsibilities

• Carry out tasks commensurate with nursing education and demonstrated competence.
• Perform only skills and procedures that have been competency checked by nursing mentors.
• Submit a signed list of competencies for personnel records.
