Nurse Extern - MedSurg, Cardiac/Tele, PRN
About The Position
Piedmont Macon is a 310-bed facility providing compassionate, patient-centered care in middle Georgia. Founded in 1971 as Coliseum Park Hospital by Hospital Corporation of America, Piedmont Macon Medical has grown to be a healthcare leader for middle Georgians. In May 1998, a merger with two other Macon hospitals, middle Georgia and Coliseum Northside Hospitals, provided our community better access and choice of quality healthcare facilities. The Nurse Extern, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides direct patient care to patients from birth through the lifecycle. This care includes utilizing treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the pre-licensure nurse in the clinical setting per hospital policy.
Requirements
- A student currently enrolled in and progressing through an accredited nursing program and successfully completed the first Med/Surg rotation.
- No experience required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
Nice To Haves
- Certification from a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician program Preferred
- Certification in phlebotomy Preferred
- Certification in ECG Preferred
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician program Preferred
- CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Preferred
- BECG - Basic Ecg Preferred
Responsibilities
