About The Position

Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.

Requirements

• Graduated within the past 6 months from an accredited RN program and actively taking steps to obtain RN license.
• CPR.
• Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for senior professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities, which includes participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
