Nurse Extern - Float Pool
About The Position
SUMMARY This is a developmental program for nursing students who want to develop multiple and varied clinical skills in a multiple nursing specialities. This position requires participation in a guided training and development program alinged to the scope outlines by the State-specific Board of Nursing. The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for RN nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities, which includes participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations toa Registered Nurse. Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
Requirements
- Education Required: Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program, and upon completion of first clinical rotation.
- Experience Required: None.
- Certifications Required: AHA BLS
