The Nurse Educator reports to the Manager of Education and collaborates with departments across the hospital and its satellite locations.
Requirements
- BS/BSN
- Current RN license in Massachusetts
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 3 years of Medical/Surgical experience
Nice To Haves
- MS/MSN in Education
- Certification in a related specialty
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructorships (may be required depending on department needs)
- Classroom teaching experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
- Design educational experiences using adult learning principles and multiple teaching methodologies.
- Maintain documentation and reporting systems for all educational activities.
- Assist staff and management in orientation and staff development to establish and maintain competency.
- Identify learning needs and plan activities to address them, including remediation.
- Plan and evaluate programs in response to healthcare trends, organizational goals, and regulatory requirements.
