About The Position

The Nurse Educator works under the general direction of the Director and Manager of Education. The Nurse Educator assists in the development of patient/staff educational programs and materials. The Nurse Educator serves as a role model, teacher and coach to increase expertise of nurses and other clinical staffs as requested. This position coordinates, implements, and evaluates orientation, in service and continuing education for nurses and other clinical staffs as requested. The Nurse Educator participates in applicable performance improvement and research activities and represents his/her specialty on appropriate committees and task forces. Requirements

  • Washington Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 3 years Acute care nursing.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. If BSN not completed upon hire, the educator must be willing to actively pursue this degree within two years.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Education, or allied health field.
  • Instructor Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • 2 years Staff development or academic teaching.
