Description Responsible for both hospital and unit based education program planning, development and implementation. This includes, implementing an ongoing hospital wide education program to meet regulatory requirements and assure competency of all assigned staff including new hires, validating required educational needs and competencies for staff; developing training programs and processes; oversight of preceptorship program; ensuring staff education records are maintained; and, keeping leadership team informed of staff education needs. Able to teach courses that are required for competency. Maintains competence at the expert level in clinical practice. Flexibility in scheduling is required for meeting the educational needs of staff on all shifts. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable.
