About The Position

Join us as a Nurse Educator position at Lower Keys Medical Center. The Nurse Educator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs to support the ongoing professional development of nursing staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership to assess educational needs and develop initiatives that align with organizational goals and standards.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of clinical nursing experience required
  • 1-3 years of experience in nursing education or staff development preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develops and delivers evidence-based educational programs, workshops, and in-services to meet the learning needs of staff.
  • Conducts needs assessments to identify educational gaps and evaluates the effectiveness of educational interventions.
  • Serves as a resource and mentor for clinical staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborates with department leaders to ensure orientation and training programs are aligned with department-specific and organizational requirements.
  • Facilitates competency-based education and training to ensure staff are proficient in current clinical practices and technologies.
  • Participates in the development and revision of policies and procedures related to clinical education and practice standards.
  • Utilizes various teaching methods and technologies to enhance the learning experience and accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Maintains accurate records of educational activities, staff participation, and competency assessments.
  • Keeps current with trends and advancements in nursing practice, education, and regulatory requirements to ensure educational content is relevant and up to date.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
