About The Position

The Nurse Educator/Performance Improvement Coordinator at UHS Binghamton General Hospital is responsible for collaborating with nursing leadership to develop and implement orientation, in-service education, and staff development programs. This role ensures the competency of clinical staff and supports the review and development of departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing
• Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience
• New York State Registered Nurse license
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire
• NRP certification

Nice To Haves

• Clinical Specialist with master's degree in nursing
• Previous education or management experience
• CPR Basic Life Support Instructor certification
• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty (C-EFM, In-Pt OB)
• Member of AWHONN
• Experience in collaboration with various interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Nurse Managers and Directors of Nursing to plan and implement orientation and in-service education.
• Ensure competency of all staff within the clinical area.
• Provide support in the review and development of departmental policies and procedures.
