Nurse Educator Summary The Nurse Educator is a professional licensed Registered Nurse (RN) who is responsible for organizing, directing, coordinating, teaching, and evaluating educational presentations for all Nursing personnel in the Acute hospital and the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)/Long Term Care (LTC). The Nurse Educator must demonstrate a willingness to work with others. The Nurse Educator shall report to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and shall assume responsibility for new employee orientation, annual competencies, and general in-service education. Infection Prevention Summary As the Infection Prevention RN, you will be responsible in assisting the Infection Prevention Manager in all activities related to the prevention, control, documentation and reporting of nosocomial acquired infections and communicable diseases at Seneca Healthcare District. These responsibilities include setting standards and evaluating compliance for practices that are associated with the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections. This will include (but are not limited to) surveillance, analysis, and reporting. Seneca Healthcare District’s goal is to provide a safe environment through the prevention of infection in patients, families, employees, and visitors.
