About The Position
The Nurse Director Surgical Services is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care within the surgical services department. This role involves leadership, strategic planning, resource management, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Key responsibilities include: Managing the operating room (OR), perioperative services, sterile processing (SPD), and endoscopy services to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. Collaborating with administrative teams and physicians to enhance services or develop new ones. Implementing and overseeing the use of new surgical technologies and techniques , ensuring staff are properly trained and equipment is maintained. Facilitating communication and collaboration among different departments within the hospital to ensure seamless patient care. Conducting research and analysis on surgical outcomes, using data to drive improvements in surgical practices and patient care. Managing the departmental budget responsibly, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources and fiscal accountability. Promoting the nursing profession by maintaining a visible and accessible presence in the surgical services areas.
