Monday through Friday; 5 8-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts; no holidays & no weekends We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate nurse to join our growing vascular surgery team. In this role, you will support a complex and expanding patient population while working closely with vascular surgeons, advanced practice providers, and multiple medical departments to ensure that each patient receives seamless, well‑coordinated care. The position requires a nurse who is confident in implementing evidence‑based nursing interventions tailored to the unique needs of vascular surgery patients. While prior experience in vascular surgery or in managing medically complex post‑operative patients is preferred, we also welcome candidates who demonstrate a strong desire to learn the intricacies of vascular care, including arterial/venous aneurysms and atherosclerotic vascular disease. Daily responsibilities include communicating with patients through telephone outreach, MyChart messaging, and in‑person interactions during clinic visits. You will also assist with wound evaluations and wound checks as needed, providing support and guidance to patients throughout their recovery. Additionally, this role involves initiating and organizing patient education specific to vascular surgery and ensuring that individuals and their families have the information and resources necessary to navigate their care. Continuous learning is an important aspect of this position, and the nurse in this role will be encouraged to participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement efforts within the service. The Nurse Clinician will work in a multidisciplinary environment which will require exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, clinical and administrative units. This position will utilize nursing skills to perform patient assessments via phone or in person and implement nursing interventions; as such the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity when resolving patient care issues. Also responsible for initiating & organizing patient education for the population this unit serves.
