About The Position

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for an Oncology Clinic Nurse for their outpatient Gynecologic Oncology. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with care coordination, research studies, provide patient and family education, scheduling, triage, assist with procedures, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovative care team committed to improving patient outcomes. This is a high volume fast-paced Magnet designated clinic. This clinic is INCP and QOPI Certified. HOURS: Monday – Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM. May be asked to float to other locations: Saint Luke's South, East, and our North locations as needed We are looking for experienced nurses who are solution focused, passionate about patient education and caring for the whole patient. To be successful, you will need to be organized, team oriented, adaptable, and enjoy helping others. We are seeking compassionate nurses who possess strong relationship building skills and enjoy going above and beyond for their patients.

Requirements

Applicable Experience: 2 years
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
Registered Nurse - Various
Associate Degree

Nice To Haves

ONS Chemotherapy preferred
Biotherapy Certification can be obtained within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

Phone Triage
Schedules emergent-need appointments.
Patient follow-up calls.
Patient education on particular procedures and processes.
Subject matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units.
Regularly meets with other disciplines to share best practices on care treatments.
Care for patients with a long-term treatment process.
Collaborate on a care team and provide face-to-face patient care
Assist with in office procedures
