The Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Clinic at Emory is dedicated to supporting patients and families with bleeding disorders. Our nursing team collaborates with providers and members of a multi-disciplinary team to triage, coordinate, and consistently manage patient care. The Supervising nurse clinician will lead the nursing team to provide care for patients with diagnosed bleeding disorders and assist with planned surgeries/procedures and unplanned bleeding events/traumas, manage medications prior authorization, and facilitate continued education of patients, families, and community. Nurses assume the role of a health care liaison between internal providers and community and outreach providers and nurses. Our nurses are essential to improving outcomes for our patients and critical to the overall success of our center. As the supervising nurse clinician, oversight for all daily care will be imperative for quality patient care and continued growth and education for nursing staff.Our team has a very unique opportunity for the supervising nurse clinician to work with and help facilitate management for patients with inherited bleeding disorders to develop autonomy and gain experience in many avenues with access to ample support resources that are intended to ensure employee success, grown, and promote high quality patient care and safety. The Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Clinic at Emory University operates Monday through Friday, with in person patient clinic 1-2 per week, where nurse coordinators and supervising nurse clinician work directly with our patients and team.
