We’re hiring a Registered Nurse to work at our Acute Treatment Unit at 1302 Chinook Lane, Pueblo, CO. SHIFT: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Wednesday, Thursday, Friday What You’ll Be Doing As a Registered Nurse, at the Acute Treatment Unit you would be providing direct care to patients experiencing emotional crisis and serious psychiatric issues in an environment that is a less restrictive alternative to hospitalization. You would be conducting assessments, evaluating and managing medications, setting priorities for care, and leading your shift. You’d also have the distinct opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of Health Solutions professionals to serve individuals and groups. Specifically, the Registered Nurse, PRN Prepares and dispenses prescribed medications Ensures that all medications are securely maintained Mains therapeutic milieu Conducts nursing assessments Provides therapeutic sessions as needed Keeps accurate records with 100% compliance with our standards Mains competency and proficiency with the electronic health record and electronic prescribing Organizes and maintains medication records Calls in prescriptions and follows-up on refills Orders lab work and reviews as needed for immediate attention on the doctor's behalf Consults and works closely with treating medical professionals Leads the shift and assigns tasks to co-workers to ensure the smooth operation of the shift Participates in the on-call schedule with an assigned minimum number of shifts per month Performs other duties as assigned by the program director within the scope of the position Physical requirements include the following: Requires standing, sitting, driving, and walking for prolonged periods of time Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 50 pounds Requires working under stress in emergency situations Use of standard precautions occasionally to avoid exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids Requires occasional driving in adverse weather conditions Requires frequent operation of a computer

Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited academic institution
Current, valid license as a registered nurse in Colorado or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
Current, valid Colorado driver’s license
Access to reliable transportation during work hours
Computer proficiency
Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally
Adapt to change in the workplace and use change as an opportunity for innovation and creativity
Take ownership of problems, brainstorm problem resolutions, use sound judgment in selecting solutions to problems, and then demonstrate consistent follow through
Possess the job knowledge and skills to perform the fundamental job functions, and willingly assume greater responsibility over time regarding the scope of work
