Assists the Supervisor/Manager with daily clinical operations of the department, in accordance with established Federal, State, accreditation regulations and Center policies and procedures. Works with nursing management to oversee clinical and nursing activities such as staffing, ensuring that Policy and Procedures are followed, participation in educational activities including infection control and safety plans, orientation, and annual skills assessment. Monitors for proper use of equipment, supplies and controlled drugs, and accurate medical record documentation. Assist the supervisors/managers with departmental scheduling. Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher
  • Texas RN license
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtain within 90 days
  • 3+ years of RN experience in PACU, PreOp, Endoscopy or ICU
  • Singe service line
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • RN experience in Pre-Op, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Emergency Room (ER), Infusion Therapy, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or hospital setting
