We are seeking a Field Nurse Case Manager to cover Virginia Beach and surrounding communities including Norfolk, Newport News, Chesapeake, and Hampton. This role is a field/home-based position requiring travel, up to 2 hours one-way (4 hours round trip), to doctors’ offices, hospitals, and various other locations. The individual is responsible for the medical case management of work-related injuries, which includes assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of injured/disabled individuals. The Case Manager works with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees, closely monitors the progress of the injured worker, and reports results back to the employer and insurance carriers. The role requires a willingness to learn and take catastrophic cases.

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in VA
  • Must be willing to learn and take catastrophic cases
  • Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC) required within two years of the date of hire
  • Possess organization and timeline adherence skills
  • Proficiency in PC and technology skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
  • Ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight
  • Skilled at patient education
  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving history

  • Experience in case management of workers comp cases

Responsibilities
