Job Summary and Responsibilities Nurse Assistant - Medical/Oncology CHI St. Alexius Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Assistant to join our Medical/Oncology team, providing essential patient care under the supervision of a Clinical Coordinator. This role primarily serves adult and geriatric patients, upholding our mission of compassionate, healing care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and ability to comprehend medical terminology.
  • Currently listed on a Nurse Assistant Registry operated by the North Dakota Board of Nursing, OR eligible for immediate placement upon hire (per "Eligibility for Employment as Nurse Assistant" policy).

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital or aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist nursing staff with individual patient care, including personal hygiene (bathing, toileting, etc.).
  • Support daily living activities such as feeding, ambulation, and patient positioning.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output; report changes to the assigned nurse.
  • Respond promptly to patient call lights and maintain a safe, clean environment.
  • Accurately document patient care activities and observations.
  • Adhere to all St. Alexius Medical Center policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide physiological, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
