About The Position

Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital - Haverhill MA Certified or Non-Certified Nursing Assistants Looking for: 7a-7p or 7p-7a Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Differentials: up to $6 depending on shift You will be assisting our nursing staff to care for our rehabilitation patients within our LTACH and IRF Hospital units. including, but not limited to:

Requirements

• Must have current BLS Certification. We offer free classes for re-certifications.
• Nurse Assistant Certification or experience as nurse assistant preferred, but non-experienced who wish to learn are encouraged to apply
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitors/observes patients to assure needs are met in a timely manner.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living specific to culture, age and developmental level.
• Performs tasks/tests delegated by the registered nurse and reports/records data as needed.
• Performs advanced skills delegated by the registered nurse as deemed competent, reports/records data as needed.
• Checking vital signs, blood sugar, bladder scanning, strict intake and output monitoring and documentation
• Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of patients and unusual incidents.
